Brand image is what comes to mind when people think about your business or product. It is developed over time from a variety of sources including your company website, social media, sponsorship activities and interactions with your business. Maintaining consistency of your brand identity helps clients distinguish you from your competitors. Local client Styles & Associates Accountancy have been established in the community for over 9 years. Part of my brief was to dispel the myth that accountants are unapproachable. Styles & Associates provide a very different experience – offering a friendly and supportive approach to all their clients. All of the accountants are based in the local area, so community is important to them - which is why each year they help raise funds for local charities and have been involved in sponsoring community events. In addition to supporting the local community, Styles & Associates want to support businesses beyond accountancy services. To facilitate this I built a series of free resources for start-ups and well-established businesses, accessible to all, on their website. I redesigned the logo make it vibrant and modern and have built a series of assets for social media, print advertising and the website which are consistent in style and content, and convey the friendly and approachable identity of the business. With the current crisis of the COVID-19 epidemic, social distancing and working from home many bricks and mortar businesses no longer provide a source of revenue (unless or course you supply food). Many small businesses in Hampshire and across the UK are now struggling to meet the overheads that still remain whilst the customers are no longer there. If you need an online presence fast, get in touch for an affordable website on 0771 313 8538. Two yeas ago I designed a new website for Jon's company Whitegate Private Clients, so I was delighted when Jon got in touch to design new artwork for high quality flyers. His company offer high net worth insurance, so maintaining a prestigious brand image is essential. The inserts were printed on 350 grams card with matt finish and spot UV on the logo. Yesterday was 'Small Business Saturday' - a movement to help promote local business. Whether you are family business, local shop, online business, wholesaler, business service or small manufacturer, the idea is to encourage your local community to shop local at this busy time of year.
The ethos of the movement is 'When you spend with a small business cash goes directly into your local economy!'. And with a number of local shops currently sat empty I wholeheartedly agree. I work with some great local companies in Alton, and have set up a site to help promote their growth. The Alton Directory is a listing site for everything Alton and it's free to add your business. I really enjoyed working on The Lime Tree Children's Day Nursery's new website. Michelle has some fantastic images for me to work with and a clear vision of what she wanted to achieve.
It's been a busy networking day today. This morning I was interviewed by David Way from local radio station Wey Valley Radio about my new listing site Alton Directory, followed by a Business Club meeting hosted by Tindle Newspapers at the beautiful Farnham Castle. It was topped off by winning a bottle of Prosecco.
Great to hear my client Alton Pump Services Ltd new radio campaign - it's already brought in new business for them and is spreading brand awareness in Alton and the surrounding areas.
HC Sports & Remedial Massage sent in this picture of their new branded gear using the logo I designed. Thank you for sharing Helen, the t-shirts look great!
"I love the design of the logo. It perfectly reflects the business and has transferred really well to these t-shirts and signage. Thank you." Helen Anstey Junior School had a vision - and needed someone to illustrate it. With a clear design brief from the client I created a number of options. A combination of two were selected and the final design presented.
